My name is Kathy (Van Nederynen) LaGrow. My grandmother’s maiden name was Lievestro. She came to America in the early 1900’s. Married and raised a family around Albany, NY. I have been to Ruurlo, Netherlands twice. I have seen this farm twice and been inside one time. I have been able to visit with Jan En Joke Lievestro and Gerda Kerssen-Lievestro and Jos Kerssen. What wonderful memories of my visits.
My husband, Tim and I went to Europe this summer. We visited 5 countries, including Holland. He has just retired. He is a civil engineer. I was a drafter in the same field but left the working world many years ago. We live in Nashville, TN.
I had 2 sons. One has passed, but we have a daughter-in-law, Judd Minnehan and 2 wonderful grandchildren, a boy, Joshua & a girl, Anne Marie. My youngest son, Kyle Minnehan, lives near us and works at the Nashville, TN airport.
